What is the technical term for the number of manufacturing defects allowed/designed?
We make 100 widgets by automation, and we know 4% (four of them) will probably be defective.
(or this could be the total number of flaws, regardless of which units they're in. ie., one unit alone could have 23 defects, but another only 6, where the two bad units don't count, but the number of defects.)
Anyone recall the technical term for this?

I may be wrong but I believe it's called tolerance. The amount of acceptable flaws in a percentage of something being made..
